REPLACES 21-08-208CIO422 SUBJECT: SAAS PROTOTYPE SPEND PLAN: ITD/ SIB/ APPLICATIONS DEVELOPMENT/ PORTFOLIO LINE ITEM: WEB CONTENT SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SAAS) IS AN APPLICATION DELIVERY METHOD THAT PROVIDES ACCESS TO APPLICATIONS AND ITS FUNCTIONS AS AN INTERNET-BASED SERVICE/SUBSCRIPTION. THIS PR IS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A SAAS DEMONSTRATION. TSA WILL UTILIZE AN INDUSTRY LEADING SAAS/PAAS VENDOR TO BUILD ONE OR MORE APPLICATIONS IN ORDER TO GAIN EXPERIENCE AND INSIGHT INTO USING SAAS AS A PLATFORM FOR CONFIGURING/ DEVELOPING, CERTIFYING/ACCREDITING, AND SUPPORTING CLOUD-BASED APPLICATIONS.
