At DHS, biometrics are employed to detect and prevent illegal entry into the U.S. at Ports of Entry (air, land, and sea). They also support the granting and administration of proper immigration benefits, provide vetting and credentialing services, facilitate legitimate travel and trade, enforce federal laws, enable verification for visa applications, and assist in identifying disaster victims and relief recipients. The equipment procured under the Statement of Work (SOW) will support the OFO Biometric Entry-Exit Program's field operations.
