ETD systems are desktop devices that are used by the TSA throughout the United States (U.S.) and its territories to detect and distinguish trace amounts of explosive and chemical compounds. ETD systems are used by Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) to screen passengers, checked baggage, and carry-on baggage. Should funding be made available in FY27, TSA intends to procure systems by competing the requirement among the vendors on the ETD Qualified Products List (QPL).
