Perform Remedial Investigations (RIs) at four U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) units determined by preliminary assessment (PA) and site investigations (SIs) to have released Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) to the environment from USCG activities within the CEU Miami (CEUM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). The RI results will be used to further characterize the site conditions, delineate the nature and extent of PFAS contamination in media, evaluate fate and transport, refine the Conceptual Site Model (CSM), and determine whether site contamination poses unacceptable risks to human health and/or the environment.
