Second, the contractor will provide support services for Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) and the National Regional Planning Council (NRPC), and continue to maintain and support two public safety communication sites; Computer Assisted Pre-Coordination Resource and Database (CAPRAD) System which aids in the management of the public safety radio frequency spectrum, and a site supporting the NRPC which is a network of radio frequency public safety Regional Planning Committees established by the Federal Communications Commission. Finally, the contractor will engage with DHS Component end users as well as state and local public safety to better understand interoperability challenges across public safety communications systems including broadband and Next-Generation 9-1-1 (NG911).
