The Special Population Continuum of Care (CoC) Network will coordinate licensed and accredited care providers to ensure least restrictive levels of care for unaccompanied alien children (UAC) who meet placement criteria for Secure; Diagnostic Center (DC); Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF); Residential Treatment Center (RTC); Therapeutic Group Home (TGH); Heightened Supervision Facility (HSF); and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) Care. Each CoC will be located in a cohesive local geographic area or region; provide a minimum number of beds per level of care; and ensure timely admissions, diagnostics, transfers between levels of care as may be clinically necessary, discharges and family unifications.
