The Unaccompanied Alien Children Office of the Ombuds (UACOO) is an independent office within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) responsible for receiving, reviewing, investigating, and helping resolve confidential reports and inquiries regarding the Office of Refugee Resettlement's (ORR) implementation of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) Program. To support this mission, UACOO requires a contractor-operated National Intake Hotline that provides secure, confidential, multilingual intake services for reports submitted by UAC, sponsors, advocates, care providers, and other stakeholders. The Hotline will supplement UACOO's existing web- and email-based intake methods by providing telephone and text message access, documenting reports in a case management system, protecting sensitive information, and providing language interpretation and translation services for individuals who have limited English proficiency or lack internet access.
