The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) at Glynco requires upgrades to the Whispering Pines Campground and adjacent Butcher/Baker National Forest training venues to replace aging infrastructure and improve the realism, durability, safety, and operational capability of law enforcement training environments. The project includes removal of existing campers and prefabricated training venues, site clearing and grading, installation of new prefabricated cabins and training structures, electrical upgrades, HVAC installation, driveway improvements, signage, furnishings, and associated site work. The completed project shall replicate a typical U.S. Forest Service campground environment, including cabins, exterior lighting, campground and forestry-type signage, parking pads, and furnishings appropriate for a realistic law enforcement training venue.
