Research abstract
The ability to enable and streamline a multi-domain data interface between user and M&S tools is needed to allow for rapid access to reliable, trustworthy data for immediate use by the analytical community. Providing a common framework for this interface, regardless of the tool resolution level, can be instrumental in advancing the use of MS&A within this complicated multi-domain problem space. The process for sharing data within the MS&A ecosystem should be implemented in a consistent manner without barriers due to user limitations and difficulties in gaining needed data for their efforts. Several benefits will result from employing a common MDI for use within the MS&A environment: 1. Efficiency & Reliability, 2. Consistency, 3. Knowledge Transfer, 4. Evolution
