Research abstract

This program will produce a laser projection system for calibrating and testing on-orbit sensors. The system will create known irradiance levels with temporal modulations so the on-orbit sensors and algorithms can be tested repeatedly at a very low cost. The calibration system will make use of commercially available parts to the extent possible and be designed to be transportable and field deployable with no specialized infrastructure requirements. The system will be demonstrated for AFRL and delivered for their own testing and operations.
