Research abstract

Ascendant Engineering Solutions (AES) proposes to develop a Multi-Axis Stabilized Coude Path Gimbal (CoPaG) incorporating an off-gimbal Laser Designator (LD) and / or Laser Jammer (LJ) and / or Laser Rangefinder (LRF) or high power laser pointer. AES will leverage its architecture selections from Phase 1 and its experience developing multi-axis gimbal products including precision laser coude path optics to deliver a Key Technology Demonstrator ready for transition into a form-fit-function prototype. The KTD will show tactically packaged precise multi-access pointing and see-spot capability for a laser at target ranges up to 3km.Further, AES will work with existing platform providers to refine requirements for integration of the CoPaG product into a Common Launch Tube SUAS.
