Research abstract

In Phase 2 project, Vuronyx Technologies in collaboration with Georgia Institute of Technology, will further optimize the composite panels using high strength and high modulus carbon fibers synthesized from polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursors, and utilize them for aerospace related components. Results in Phase 1 demonstrated the high strength and modulus of the fibers, higher than anything available in the market today. Work in Phase 2 will focus on larger composite panels, their evaluation using ASTM standards, and fabrication and testing of aerospace component.
