Research abstract

The objective of this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) project is to develop a comprehensive modeling environment for the accurate study of propagation channels and consequent development of communication systems with particular emphasis on the HF/VHF frequency bands. The proposed software will provide accurate solutions based on full-wave modeling of the scene as well as a high degree of computational efficiency using a combination of hardware and software acceleration schemes including code parallelization, domain decomposition, multi-core threading as well as hybrid full-wave and asymptotic techniques under certain assumptions. A fully parametric CAD modeling environment will be provided capable of dynamically generating and reconfiguring mobile network scenarios.
