Research abstract

Knite Kinetic Spark Ignition (KSI) is a transformational ignition technology for turbine and augmentor applications. Previous AFRL testing showed the KSI ignition system to be an enabling technology that has the ability to dynamically adapt the ignition energy content and location to increase capability. The testing was done on basic research rigs and high fidelity test systems for fourth generation applications.
