Research abstract

XL Scientific LLC is pleased to propose an underwater acoustic (UWA) communications technology solution for Navy SBIR N161-068 which leverages our staffs prior research in the development of a class of non-sinusoidal, baseband signaling waveforms with coherent matched filter receivers. Our proposed technology solution can provide the Navy with a class of low probability of intercept/detection (LPI/LPD) communications waveforms for Unmanned Undersea Vehicles (UUVs) and submersibles operating in roles where the assumption of a stealthy posture is critical to the success of the mission.
