Research abstract
Large government enterprises and Global?2000 corporations are drowning in fragmented cybersecurity data generated by cloud, on-premises, and third-party systems. Onboarding a single new data source into a SIEM or cyber data lake often takes three to six?months, while authoring a new detection rule can require weeks—delays that drive the average breach cost above?$9.5?million in the United States and contribute to a cyber-crime burden projected to reach?$10.5?trillion annually by?2025. ESCAPE?—?Enhancing Security Capabilities through an Analytic Platform Ecosystem tackles this bottleneck with an AI-driven semantic layer that automatically ingests, interprets, and harmonizes heterogeneous security logs. The platform’s advanced entity-resolution engine links identities, dynamic network addresses, and assets across noisy, incomplete records, reducing manual data-onboarding effort by up to?90?percent and delivering 25× processing efficiency over legacy tooling.During Phase?II, the project will pursue three integrated technical objectives:Seamless Integration?—?build connectors and scalable pipelines for real-time and batch ingestion of at least three representative data sources, continuously updating identity-to-user and address-to-asset relationships.Advanced Semantic Mapping & Entity Resolution?—?apply machine-learning and rule-based techniques to reconcile fuzzy or conflicting records, enrich an enterprise knowledge graph, and achieve >?90?% resolution accuracy on test datasets.Demonstration of Impact?—?provide transparent, auditable lineage, customizable dashboards, and quantitative evidence of reduced duplication, improved data quality, and operational risk reduction.Key milestones include completing integration planning (Month?1), delivering initial connectors and schema (Month?2), deploying scalable pipelines and resolution models (Month?6), and demonstrating a knowledge-graph prototype with stakeholder dashboards (Month?9), culminating in a full operational showcase at Month?12. Anticipated results are a 75?% cut in manual onboarding labor, real-time visibility across disjoint systems, and a unified “single source of truth” for identities and assets—elevating system TRL from?6 to?7 and positioning ESCAPE for Phase?III transition. Commercial and defense impact: ESCAPE’s cloud-native, FedRAMP-targeted SaaS will give DoD agencies, healthcare providers, and regulated critical-infrastructure operators cost-effective, vendor-agnostic security analytics at up to 25× lower total cost of ownership than incumbent SIEMs, while opening subscription, managed-service, and VAR resale revenue streams for Zigguratum.
