Research abstract

CDI is developing a compact OIRU that combines our field-proven stabilization technology with an innovative application of a commercially available gyro. Phase II Base delivers two compact OIRU prototypes in a 2x2x2 package which provides a guide beam with residual jitter of less than 1urad-rms from 1Hz to 1kHz when operating in a military airborne environment. Phase II Option achieves a 2x performance improvement and delivers two additional compact OIRUs in the same 8in^3 package but with only 0.5urad-rms residual jitter under the airborne flight environment.
