Research abstract

We develope technology for optical repeaters that enable operation optical communications with a link-loss of 30 dB (at 1 Gbps) and 18 dB (at 10 Gbps). The goal is to: 1) detect light at an unknown power level and restore to a fixed light level, and 2) perform signal restoration of timing (or jitter).
