Research abstract

Power management is inefficient today for High Performance Computing (HPC) equipment and for datacenter environmental conditioning systems supporting this equipment. Existing sensors and instrumentation monitoring the equipment are not integrated and do not adhere to an industry standard, and thus fall short in providing useful information that helps increase energy efficiency. Installing new sensors and hardware monitoring equipment is costly and time consuming.
