Research abstract

Novel design for MEMS RF varactor developed in Phase I is to be used in the design of a tunable filter for the diplexer module of a Communications Data Link (CDL). Presently, the diplexer function is handled by filter banks which are selected based on whether the unit is functioning in transmission or reception mode. The MEMS devices set and select the filter attributes for the diplexer, so that the same module may be used to transmit as well as receive data.
