Research abstract

This CPP effort will augment the development, testing and evaluation of our compact HF antenna technology in order to accelerate the fielding of its capabilities to Naval warriors. In this CPP, we will carry out risk reduction activities aimed at improving our capability to deliver this technology to the DoD. The CPP is focused on ensuring the HF antenna compliance with military environmental performance requirements, Pharad’s compliance with government contracting requirements, and the development of a manufacturing capability that will allow the reliable manufacture of the HF antenna assemblies. These activities will facilitate the rapid transitioning of our SBIR developed antenna technology to Phase III and into the Navy acquisition process. Our CPP transition activities will be built around our continuing dialogue with the AN/PRC-150 prime contractor, Harris Corporation, and Navy and Marine Corp stakeholders ONR, SPAWAR, MTCSC, and MARCORSYSCOM. The CPP will provide us with the resources to increase our efforts engaging with Harris and the Navy acquisition communities to facilitate the transition of this technology into the Marine Corp. Our goal is that the new HF man-pack antenna assembly will be supplied in an AN/PRC-150 radio kit to the Marine Corp and Navy.
