Research abstract

The further development of a hearing protection system is proposed that allows the user to listen to ambient acoustic sounds at safe levels---sometimes known as a "talk-through" system. The system exhibits high noise attenuation properties due to double hearing protection. Directivity and frequency response is preserved yielding a very natural listening experience. The system is fully wireless, and a noise dosimeter is integrated.
