Research abstract

A wealth of studies involving the effects of army materiel on ground soldier task performance exist, but the flow of data from these studies into ground soldier simulations is slow. Modeling these effects in a ground soldier simulation is important, because it takes into account factors that directly impact the ground soldier. Through continuing research, the Task-related Effects of Encumbrance Methodology (TEEM) project plans to continue creating methodologies and begin implementation in ground soldier simulations. Building off the research gathered in Phase I, Phase II of the TEEM project will create new methodologies, refine previously created methodologies, and create a strategy for implementation in ground soldier simulation programs.
