Research abstract

Triton Systems proposes a new process that eliminates the costly polishing steps currently required to fabricate transparent optical quality ALON ballistic windows and domes. This process has the potential to reduce the overall cost of ALON by 25 to 40%. The process is inexpensive, easy to implement, and uses commercially available materials and equipment.
