Research abstract

During Phase I of this SBIR program, NanoSonic has developed a novel, ultra-lightweight (1000%, exhibits a surface resistivity of < 1/ when fitted into the gap; and the Metal Rubber™ technology and sealants are compatible with the current DoD based neat (unfilled) sealant resins. During Phase II, the unique unfilled sealants will be transitioned to the outer mold line of aircraft for electromagnetic discharge applications. NanoSonic has teamed with major defense primes and the leading aerospace sealant manufacturer for integration on aircraft such as the F-22, X-47B and B-2.
