Research abstract

This Phase I proposal describes the process used by DSCI /Icon Team to identify a solution for the Battlefield Effects for Live Embedded Training. The DSCI/Icon Team will use our expertise in Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems to investigate alternatives for providing the desired Battlefield Effects required by this SBIR Topic, and will develop a system that we have coined as the “Embedded Battlefield Effects Simulation System” or EBESS. As part of the Phase I Option, DSCI proposes to begin initial development of a prototype of the solution recommended by the Phase I effort, which will be used to demonstrate the feasibility to the U.S. Army for a Phase II development effort to implement an embedded Live Training Battlefield Firing Effects system on a current force vehicle and demonstrate it in a Live Training exercise.
