Research abstract

Eltron Research Inc. will focus on three primary objectives during Phase II of this US Air Force Research Laboratory SBIR program, building upon the success realized during Phase I of the program. First, we will be prepared to transition to high volume production needed in Phase III by optimizing and extending the proprietary process developed during Phase I for the production of transparent and conductive POSS-polyimide films. Second, we will have a product ready for evaluation by key end-users in the satellite industry by performing key qualification tests before and after simulated low earth and geosynchronous orbit exposure. Third, we will reduce risk and speed the transfer of this technology to the DOD by engaging key partners in both film production and satellite manufacturing.
