Research abstract

Mark Resources developed the concept of a non-scanning radar suitable for installation on a submarine mast, small boat, unmanned underwater vehicle, ocean buoy, tower, and other littoral sites. The radar has the capability to rapidly and simultaneously detect and classify surface targets within the radar horizon, in all weather conditions. During Phase I we developed the antenna assembly and radome to conform to the submarine mast configuration. Except for the transmit antenna, the development risk associated with the system appears to be low as most elements are based on existing technologies. Technology Service Corporation is our teaming partner for hardware development.
