Research abstract

The main aim of our work is to develop a process and techniques that prevent or delay software piracy and reverse engineering. The Jekyll approach hides the target application in one or more common utility applications or libraries (cover files) making the target application hard to identify, locate and reverse engineer. The programs are combined in a fine-grained manner that provides a high level of obfuscation while retaining the full functionality of both applications. The Jekyll tool kit can spread portions of the target application throughout multiple cover files further increasing the difficulty of locating the target application. IST has assembled a distinguished team to address this proposal. In conjunction with our consultants we are proposing a novel and innovative approach to meeting the requirements called for in the solicitation. At the conclusion of Phase II, we plan to have a pre-production version of our product ready for immediate deployment in selected applications.
