Research abstract

Advanced HTPB propellant formulations are needed to improve specific impulse and density impulse with improved cold temperature operation and storage capability. A problem is that most energetic plasticizers are insoluble in HTPB. Under this program, a series of energetic plasticizers will be designed to be compatible with HTPB. The plasticizers will be synthesized and tested.
