Research abstract

A software system for predicting the performance of antennas mounted on electrically large platforms of arbitrary geometry and with material coatings is proposed. The system will be based on the utilization of high frequency methods for modeling antenna-platform and antenna-to-antenna interactions and the influence of the platform geometry and materials. The system will run on personal computers and will perform the required computations in real or near-real time. The system is intended for use by engineers and will have a graphical user-friendly interface. The proposing team previously developed similar systems for perfectly electrically conducting (PEC) platforms. The systems developed for PEC platforms will be used as a foundation for the new system.
