Research abstract

The research described in this proposal is intended to provide a basis for the development of software for automated vector feature exctraction from imagery. The specific purpose of the proposed work is to formulate realistic and computationally efficient models, methodologies and test-bed codes for automated recognization, classification, vectorization, and storage of features found in high resolution optical imagery. Using the software that is the intended product of this proposed effort, it should be possible to quickly and accurately provide high resolution vector data to define scenes that are depicted in imagery.
