Research abstract

A vector sensor with excellent noise performance in a small package will be further developed using the 15 shear mode of single crystal selected due to its outstanding properties that allow broad bandwidth and low noise in a compact sensor design. Our Phase II objectives include prototyping and demonstration of a pitch, roll and heading sensor function, integrated with the vector sensor. The degree of integration (full physical or semi; i.e. interfaced for location in close proximity in the array to the vector sensor) will be established at an interim milestone review.
