Research abstract

iRobot will develop a Mission Planning module for the ARDEC MPC which will allow a single operator to enter a mission objective and automatically assign tasks to available manned and unmanned units whose capabilities best fulfill the mission objective. This Mission Planner will be JAUS 3.2 compliant for interoperation with multiple different unmanned assets, and will also support JVMF 5.0 for communication between other ARDEC MPC nodes. iRobot will demonstrate the Mission Planner using two autonomous mapping UGVs and a team of soldiers in a simulated building clearing exercise.
