Research abstract

The objective of this research project is, from a single unit, to provide 100,000Btu cooling, 100,000Btu heating and at least 15kW auxiliary electrical output, all towable by a single HMMWV. In phase I, the design feasibilty, evironmental conditioning, and electrical power output potentials were investigatesd. Phase one produced a concept using innovative design to reduce weight and improve on component efficiency. Phase two will proved the necessary development to produce a prototype which will prove the concept and further the design through evaluation.
