Research abstract

We propose to investigate the use of continous processing techniques to develop scalable production methods for fabricating low loss MetaFerrite composites for miniaturizing microwave antennas. MetaFerrites are low density, laminated RF polymer composites with a combination of properties not occurring in nature. We will demonstrate the feasibility of processing large areas of MetaFerrites with high permeabilities and permittivities at frequencies to 3 GHz in sufficient quantities to support studies aimed at minaturizing antennas on platforms where size and weight are mission critical.
