Research abstract

We shall investigate and design the capabilities of a model-based development toolset for building high-assurance embedded real-time systems. The toolset is based on the premise that model-based design and development leads to high assurance by enabling analysis, simulation, code-generation, model-checking and testing from a single system representation. The toolset will capture and verify different aspects of the system separately, and automatically manage interactions between these concerns. Platform and environmental dependencies can be customized to a particular application or system. Different programming languages, real-time operating systems and middleware services can be targeted. Functional and para-functional code can be automatically integrated. Compositions can be recursive, and components can be reused.
