Research abstract
Clear Cut Solutions, LLC will enhance the standardization, the accuracy, the repeatability and the traceability of measurements for the Maritime bulk cargo industry, worldwide. Supplanting the age-old methods of a tape measure with all of its inherent inconsistencies and variability's so as to usher in more transparent and traceable methodology for transacting business on a grand scale. Bulk cargo in the Mississippi corridor annually exceeds $220 billion in value. It encompasses agricultural products, like grains and fertilizers, scrap, steel, cement, limestone and other essential commodities. One of the key advantages the US has is its cost-effective inland movement of essential goods and products. With the passage of the IRA (infrastructure of Renovation Act) the inland waterways are due for some improvements. This will entail work on the locks and waterways on which bulk cargo in this country will be traveling. With this upcoming investment, our timing for developing a new standard/protocol for how measurements are gathered and processed is needed. This development is exactly what Clear Cut Solutions is proposing: it will boost the efficiency and speed in which metrology can be utilized in the digitalized economy of the Maritime bulk cargo industry.
