Research abstract

Tienta Sciences, Inc. is currently engaged in the development of novel, tunable super-lenses (TSL) for nanoscale optical sensing and imaging of bio-molecules with Purdue University. The tunable super lens will utilize negative-index materials (NIMs) that operate in the visible or near infrared light. Preliminary results have indicated that these NIMs can create a lens that will overcome the diffraction limit and perform sub-wavelength imaging, enhanced resolution imaging, or flat lens imaging. The goal of this Phase I project is the development of a pre-manufacturing design of novel, negative-index materials for fabricating a new tunable super-lens.
