Research abstract

MAK Technologies is developing an HLA Run Time Infrastructure (RTI) that is optimized to the Navy's at-sea environment. The target application is the Battle Fleet Tactical Trainer (BFTT) - which currently has limited utility at sea, due to the limited bandwidth of ship-to-ship data links. This activity will produce an RTI that requires significantly reduced bandwidth to support simulation-based exercises. The RTI will support legacy DIS traffic through gateways - with similarly reduced bandwidth requirements.
