Data Model for Battle Force Interoperability Certification

SBIR Topic N03-037 targets the development of a knowledge-based intelligent system for gathering information about battle force systems and provides automated intelligence to answer questions about that knowledge in a simple and intuitive manner. The primary goal of the project is to provide the system users a decision support system to assist them in making better decisions faster. Phase II of the SBIR will consist of two parts. The first part will consist of building the data warehouse that will store many different types of facts about the Battle Force systems. The data will be aggregated and streamlined to facilitate quick response and will include facilities to allow for slowly changing data as well as dynamic data. This dimensional data warehouse will help in analyzing data in different ways in a timely fashion. Once the data warehouse is built and in operation, the project team will transform the data warehouse from a dimensional model into an object dimensional model. The second part of the SBIR Phase II consists of building a Knowledge Management System (KMS) to take advantage of the aggregated data to help in making timely decisions based upon current and accurate data.
