Research abstract
Preczn's ResiliPay project tackles the critical challenge of creating a secure and scalable payment platform by innovatively integrating advanced microservices architecture with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Addressing key technological risks, the project pioneers robust solutions to ensure fault tolerance, high performance under unpredictable transactional loads, and stringent compliance with evolving
security standards like PCI DSS. The platform leverages cutting-edge AWS services, including ECS with Fargate for managing containerized workloads, Aurora Serverless to address latency risks in dynamic relational database scaling, and ElastiCache to mitigate performance bottlenecks. Its multi-layered security framework integrates AWS Key Management Service (KMS) for encryption, WAF to defend against advanced persistent threats, and CloudTrail to ensure comprehensive auditability—a critical need for compliance in high-stakes financial environments. ResiliPay also incorporates an innovative multi-environment architecture (production, development, and UAT), reducing risks of cross-environment contamination and enabling faster, safer iteration cycles. This novel approach ensures seamless adaptability to industry
demands while addressing vulnerabilities inherent in traditional payment processing platforms. Through this Phase I project, Preczn will validate the solution's feasibility, address key technological uncertainties, and optimize the architecture for commercial readiness. The work aligns with NIST’s mission by fostering secure, transformative technologies that enhance
economic resilience and financial system trust.
