Research abstract

The Service-based ISR Product Automation And Dissemination Enterprise (SPADE) Phase II effort will develop and demonstrate a prototype system using a realistic information flow and operational scenario based on requirements from potential end users such as NASIC, ACC and AFC2ISRC. During Phase I we developed a Concept of Operations (CONOPS) with the AFRL customer that defines a notional process for automating the production and dissemination of integrated intelligence products. We will implement integration of tools incorporating a workflow triggered by data provided through an Information Operations Tools Access (IOTA) subscription. We will use Knowledge Kinetics (K2), an enterprise integration tool set to perform analytical steps that would otherwise depend on the user/analysts training and knowledge. We will coordinate testing with potential users who are willing to provide: operational requirements, real world operational data, and support from operational analysts to validate the utility of the prototype. There is currently no integration of IOTA with an automated workflow. Our approach will accomplish this integration and leverage the investment that the AF has made in IOTA and K2. By automating the production cycle, SPADE will free time to be spent on the analysis and reporting functions and limit searching for or prioritizing data.
