Research abstract

The Objective of this proposal is to continue the development of the innovative fuel filter design that combines a water-selective membrane technology, spiral-wound filter design, and cross-flow filtration. In Phase I, the feasibility of these design features was demonstrated. Phase II will pursue advanced development to refine the design, optimize the performance, and build several 16.5 gph membrane fuel filters for land-based and field tests. The goal of Phase II is to bring the membrane fuel filter design to a commercially marketable state.
