Research abstract

This project will develop novel methods for visually portraying battlespace information to users so that both the information itself and the uncertainties associated with that information can be understood. Our goal is to use advanced graphics and visualization techniques to provide intuitive representations of these complex information spaces so that commanders can make more effective command decisions. Instead of taking a piecemeal approach to tacking uncertainty visualization onto an existing traditional visualization system, we will design our system from the ground up to allow a first class representation of uncertainties within the battlefield information space.
