Research abstract

An electrically scanned antenna (ESA) is desirable for many appplications of the low profile and fast inertialess scanning. This unique design is capable of handling multiple simultaneous polarizations making an excellent choice for many communication and radar applications. A wide bandwidth 8 X 32 element ESA has been designed to cover 36.5-39.5 GHz with very good performance acrosss azimuthal scans. This same design can be scaled to cover other microwave and millimeter wave bands.
