Research abstract

The objective of the Phase II program is to apply the demonstrated Phase I k-Core (highly thermal conductive material) technologies to solve the identified specific thermal management challenges now present in the mission and flight management computers on the H-60 Navy platform. The work will entail R&D to expand and refine the material and packaging technologies concepts developed in the Phase I effort. To this end, system level thermal analysis will be used to identify specific components for application, prototype components will be fabricated, and performance gains will be demonstrated through testing of the produced prototype.
