Research abstract

During Phase II of this SBIR, Syncroness will design, develop and field a 104' long, 4' diameter modular vacuum chamber with an appropriate vacuum system and pressure region barriers to allow a 9" monorail sled to ascend and descend an altitude range from 4300' to 100000'. Technologies required to field this system will be tested and validated including vaporizing pressure barriers, advanced sealing adhesives for various materials onto steel and concrete and modular vacuum chamber construction.
