Research abstract

This project will produce a vital class of commodity chemicals from lignocellulosic biomass at a cost estimated to be roughly half that of conventional, petroleum-derived acrylic acid. Switching to biomass-derived acrylates enables manufacturers to implement a more cost-efficient and eco-friendly production method, supporting broader goals of economic resilience
