Research abstract

Investigation of coherent, high power, 1550 nm Grating-coupled Surface-Emitting (GSE) laser arrays for military applications are proposed. The proposed innovative approach will enable the rapid development of coherent, high-power long-wavelength surface-emitting lasers while circumventing major technical issues associated with conventional long-wavelength vertical cavity surface-emitting lasers.
